Partner
Daniel is Kathryn Armfield’s husband. Daniel was admitted as a Legal Practitioner by the Supreme Court Queensland in June 2008.
Stephanie O'Brien-Smith
Dispute Resolution Practitioner
Stephanie O’Brien Smith was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court Australia in Feburary 2024. Prior to being admitted Stephanie practiced and continues to practice as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.
Stephanie’s previous role as a Dispute Resolution Practitioner was with Relationships Australia for 17 years.
Greg Troedson
Litigation Consultant
Greg was admitted as a Solicitor in 2006 and joined the Armfield O’Brien Law team as a Litigation Consultant in June 2024.
He is currently the Principal of BlackHill Legal and an Independent Director of Australian Deaf Sports Federation Limited t/as Deaf Sports Australia. He is also Chair of the Organising Committee for the World Deaf Golf Championships to be held at RACV Royal Pines Resort in August 2024.
He can be found on the golf course on most weekends.
David Miles

David was admitted to legal practice in early 2024.
David has had a long history of volunteering for Community Legal Service work historically.
David says he enjoys assisting clients in the most challenging of circumstances, because he sees these situations as being where there is potentially the most to lose, but also for the biggest changes in outcomes by seeking alternative options.
David has extensive life and work history, including industries such as mining and civil construction, which David says keeps him grounded and helps him to better understand clients’ needs, because he’s been there.

Nerissa was admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2025.
As a mum of 3 teenage children, Nerissa understands the importance of stability, empathy and clear communication.
